View of microwave tower. This type of microwave tower is one of the early style microwave towers, although feed horns have been replaced with later style horns,  All but two microwave links have been turned down and replaced by fiber.  Original L-4 routes were to Boston, Highrock, Littleton and Cheshire, CT.
 
 

Unique AT&T structure, nuclear blast pressure detector.  This detectors works with a gamma ray nuclear detector (not shown) to control the blast valves in the structure.  A signal was also sent offsite to NORAD and others to indicate detonation in the area.  This type of intelligence is now gathered by satellites.   See related article on these devices.
